Under the guidance of the late Dr. Suma Kapur, I had the privilege to collaborate on the "Rightbiotic Product: Antimicrobial Testing Machine." Dr. Kapur ingeniously repurposed a UTI calculating machine to pioneer a cost-effective solution for rapid antimicrobial resistance analysis, reducing turnaround times to mere hours.
My role involved developing a user-friendly app in conjunction with a skilled developer. I also oversaw the design process, collaborating with various PCB firms to optimize the product's electronics. Through meticulous research, I identified smaller, more efficient components, resulting in a space-saving redesign proposal.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and Dr. Kapur's health complications, the proposed design could not be fabricated. Nevertheless, this project reflects our shared commitment to advancing healthcare solutions with innovation and determination.
